The No.7 Classic Trug
All information below applies to both the ‘Classic’ and ‘Harlequin’ Trugs.
It's clearer to relate physical size by comparison, so I've chosen a standard 12" wine bottle, it's something most of us can relate to?

If you are looking for the definitive Sussex trug size, the No.7 is it. Considered the most popular size for conventional gardening, the true "all-rounder." Designed to handle the demands of a productive kitchen garden through to the allotment. With its generous three-gallon capacity, it provides ample volume for harvesting everything for batch cooking from the heavier vegetables, to orchard fruit, an adequate volume for all tasks and uses. While its smaller siblings (the No. 5 and 6) often find a place indoors, the No. 7 is a creature of the outdoors—unless, of course, you can boast a large farmhouse kitchen or space to accomodate. If there is any doubt as to what size to buy, this is almost certainly the best option. Voted best Trug by Gardeners World magazine!
