All information below applies to both the ‘Classic’ and ‘Harlequin’ Trugs.
The No. 6, although just 2" longer than the No.5, it has almost double the capacity as it's also wider and deeper. Adequate for bringing in the veg for the evening meal, light weeding, dead-heading, transporting hand tools, etc. As with the No.5, the No.6 is just as suitable to be displayed, or used in the home.
In the past, I have got into trouble for introducing it to visitors as ‘the lady’s trug’, but my defence or reasoning is, when female visitors come to my workshop, they often opt for the number 6 (unless they are busy gardeners). A uniformed W.P.C customer seriously reprimanded me for calling it 'a lady's trug', yet she eventually left with a No.6!! (Maybe WPC stands for Woke & Politicly Correct!)
It's clearer to relate physical size by comparison, so I've chosen a standard 12" wine bottle, it's something most of us can relate to?
